After writing and releasing a few E-books covering everything to do with the college process from the time a student is in the first grade, up to an including the time they get accepted into the school of their dreams, we have extensive experience with the college process and helping parents achieve the success they want.
However, a common email we kept receiving after a parent had purchased one of our e-books was that they didn't have too much time to read through it all. They were balancing work, with exercise, with raising a family and asking them to read through this e-book and remember everything in it was a tough ask. Parent's these days are incredibly busy; and asking them to stay on top of everything they have going on while adding something else to it is a tough thing to do. On top of that, the E-books we write, while not very long, are very dense. They are often packed with different concepts and ideas that take a little bit of time to digest and require a couple rereads to truly understand them.
So, what we decided to do was break up the information into bite sized chunks on this blog and in our newsletter. This way, on a coffee break, or a lunch-break, a working parent can quickly hop onto their computer, see our email and go through the key information we're trying to communicate in 30 seconds or less. Then, if they have time and are interested later in the day, they can come here to read more in depth about what we outlined in the email. This saves them time and they still get 80% of the benefits of the information we we wanted to convey.
Now with that background, here is how the newsletter is going to work.
One to four times a month, usually later in the week, we will release an email covering a topic of interest parents and students ask us about, or we will cover a topic of interest we believe is especially relevant today.
