Short Personal Story

"Not going to lie, I'm a member of the 'lucky sperm club' so getting into Harvard was pretty easy for me. Both my parents, uncles and aunts went there as well as my grandfathers on both my mom and dad's side. So, I had an easier ride there than most.

I remember our school Valedictorian getting rejected from a bunch of schools he applied to making it into our state school and a couple of other good schools, but was completely shut out of the Ivy League. I remember the dude absolutely hating me when college day rolled around and he realized that I was going to Harvard and I completely understand where he's coming from cuz I'd be pissed too if I were him.

But, aside from all that, it was pretty cool to get into Harvard. It's a cool school and it was nice to continue the family tradition."

Useful Advice "Other than legacy, what helped me with the process was knowing what to expect. My parents hired a course planner and resume strategist to help build my resume so that it would look really good to the admissions officers. I think that, when paired with decent scores and legacy pushed me through."
