Personal Story

"I was pretty lucky with Cornell in that I applied early and got in. That feeling, to be honest, was probably the greatest feeling I've ever had. I never knew what it was like to just have relief coursing through your body like how I felt when I got into Cornell, but now I knew.

I was so excited that not only did high school pay off, it was finally over, and beyond that, I had the opportunity of a lifetime."

Useful Advice

"Start early. I didn't heed my own advice and it was the most stressful thing I've done. I was running around trying to get recommendation letters, writing supplementals, studying for the SAT, and it was just a whole mess.

If I could go back and do it all over again I would have probably started in my Junior year so that I could plan ahead for the future and get my ducks in place before the application date.

If there's anything I would say, I'd advise people to start early."
