Personal Story
"I wasn't that surprised when getting into Brown. I wanted to get into Harvard, but Brown is ok.
My dad went to Penn and Harvard and my mom went to Princeton and Harvard so making it into an Ivy wasn't really that special. My older sister went to Yale so making it into Brown really wasn't that special for me. I kind of expected it."
Useful Advice
"I'm not really sure if there are any secrets towards getting into ivies. I don't think I did anything that special in high school which really helped me out and put me ahead of other kids. Maybe it's because I was in a couple leadership positions in high school and that helped me stand out, but other than that, I don't think that getting into the Ivy league is that hard.
If you put in a decent amount of work and have a decent GPA and a decent SAT score you should be fine. If you add that to creative genius, you'll be golden. I think that my creative genius in my essay, decent SAT scores and GPA added to my leadership ability made it super easy to get in. If another kid has that it should be really easy to get into here. At least it wasn't too hard for me to get in."
